I want to do my part to help everyone maintain a sense of community while so many in our community are doing their part to help fight the spread of COVID-19. Please know our campaign is here to listen to your thoughts and concerns, especially while so many people are isolated physically.
I have learned from farming that to be successful you need to adapt to all the changes and challenges that come your way. So, we are adopting changes to my campaign for the New York State Senate to make sure we continue to talk and listen to each other.
My team and I are working on different ways we can keep communicating about how government can help and when they need to just stay out of our way. I want to keep meeting you, hear from you, and work with you to make sure that our upstate, rural voice is heard loud and clear in Albany.
So bear with us as we adapt to the changing landscape of "campaigning" and join us as often as you can, send us your questions, notes of encouragement, or ideas. Be well.
During this time of social distancing I miss the Pancake Breakfasts and Firehouse Dinners that are such a fun part of campaigning, but more import, these organizations miss the revenue. That’s why on Sundays, I will be cooking my signature breakfast for the family - pancakes, eggs and bacon with our very own maple syrup - and donating to a local organization.
This week we are highlighting the food pantry system in Cortland County. Join me by donating to your local pantry, sharing the graphic, and sharing pictures of YOUR Sunday breakfast with #PancakesWithJim.
Come back to check out Virtual Town Halls, Live Streams, and videos on the campaign trail.
All videos will be posted here and on our YouTube Channel.
